- Kirkus Reviews Take a peek at Kirkus Reviews thoughts on Faith and Science with Dr. Fizzlebop. We are excited to be getting so much attention from some many media outlets. Truly Faith and Science with Dr. Fizzlebop can help to show kids and families, that faith and science are not meant to be mutually exclusive. Because we know our God created the very building blocks of Science. Congratulations to Dr. Fizzlebop and Tyndale Kids for getting noticed by Publishers Weekly for creating opportunities for kids and parents to experience science as it was created by a great and amazing God! Check out what they had to say: "Children’s publishers have pumped up the volume of activity books and guided devotionals, particularly in the sensitive area of science and religion. Tyndale House associate publisher Linda Howard decries the 'myth' that 'if you believe in science, you can’t believe in God—and if you believe in God, you can’t believe in science.' She adds: 'That is simply not true. God himself created the building blocks of science.' In this vein, Tyndale Kids is publishing 'Faith and Science with Dr. Fizzlebop: 52 Fizztastically Fun Experiments and Devotions for Families' (Nov.). It is accompanied by videos starring author Brock Eastman, who can pivot from a kitchen-table-top experiment to a biblical passage in minutes."
https://www.publishersweekly.com/pw/by-topic/industry-news/religion/article/87422-kids-books-fuse-faith-and-fun.html Faith and Science with Dr. Fizzlebop features 52 easy experiments kids and parents can do together once a week or at their convenience. Each experiment will have a how-to video featured in the free Fizzlebop Labs web series launching in fall ’21. Building on Dr. Fizzlebop’s desire to show kids how faith and science connect, each experiment connects to a devotional that allows kids to go deeper and learn about God’s amazing design for everything around them. On average, each experiment takes 5 to 10 minutes and the devotional is an additional 5 minutes. Our expert and guide, Dr. Phineas Einstein Fizzlebop, is a bit quirky and maybe a little cheesy at times, but he is passionate about three things: God, science, and fizz―and all come together wonderfully at Fizzlebop Labs. Guest scientists (families) will journey through the Bible in an extravaganza of experiments and Bible studies full of fun, facts, and fizz.
Welcome to Fizzlebop Labs! I’m Dr. Phineas Einstein Fizzlebop, and I am thrilled to have your family assisting me. We’re going to cover a lot of great experiments—and many of my favorite Bible stories as well. Here at Fizzlebop Labs, my goal is to explore the amazing intricacies God programmed right into our world. And while doing so, we will learn more from the guide He gave us: the Bible. As a scientist, I’m often questioned about how I can believe in God and trust science at the same time. But when you see how God’s intricate design runs through everything, it’s impossible not to trust God as the one behind all of it. The Bible is full of many great stories, each teaching us something about our Creator. The experiments in this book will also teach us about how our Amazing Creator designed the world. You see, there are three things I am passionate about: God, science, and fizz! So join me and let’s grow in our knowledge of God, explore science, and make some fizz along the way. Come along as a family on this fifty-two-experiment extravaganza. Here we go! Zealously, Dr. P. E. Fizzlebop P.S.—I recommend always having seltzer tablets on hand during these experiments. Because after all, everything is better with fizz. Keep your Bible near because you’ll be using it with each devotional. And always wear safety goggles. And one very last thing: be sure to share videos and photos of your family’s experiment with me by tagging them on social media with #Fizzlebop. I’m always looking for great ways to share other scientists’ experiments and experiences with the world. Okay, let’s get fizzing! So come along on our fizztastic journey through faith and science and a whole lot of colorful fizzy fun!
